“We’re all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that’s all”.

– The Breakfast Club

Harley Cole is a mixed media artist from Cheltenham whos interdisciplinary work primarily revolves around the process of play and experimentation, utilising human form as a subject. Through photography, painting, printmaking, collage and textiles, Harley has developed her practise throughout her degree which has led her to take a
design based approach to the subject of the female form, exploring the relationship between aesthetic quality and functionality. Using primary research from gallery visits and exhibitions, she produces simplistic line drawings from which she creates prints. She uses this process to explore colour, texture and surface through playing with repetition and pattern making, producing functional works for interior design and home furnishings.
